wonderful samples. You mentioned these were shot with "400 L" I didn't see a 400 L listed in your profile. Can I ask which 400 L? canon makes a bunch of them

You must read more carefully before attacking people (actually don’t know whom ), my concern is:
They are not showing any AF advantage of 7D over 40D!!! Which is main reason I would personally buy this camera if I do (NO!!!)

I guess if you think the shots are bad, then that's your opinion. I'm not trying to be nice, I just think the series is very good and shows good AF capabilities of the 7D. I don't own a 7D nor am I considering one. I use a MKIII, MKIIn, and MKII for action shots. I shoot a lot of in-flight stuff so maybe I have more appreciaion for what the OP is doing. Several of his duck shots are as good as anything I have gotten with my MKIIn, MKIII pro models so maybe I just suck.
I never speak up when a poster says something is crap and it is crap, but that is just not the case here so that's why I suspect some people are jealous.

I didn't need to read more carefully, I was defending the OP's excellent post against a host of attacking replies from yourself and others. Maybe you should take your own advice.
Your original post attacks the excellent series displayed. In case you forgot what you said:

I am not impressed much, maybe 2-3 shots from all in focus as I like.

Are you saying I should say white on black just because that what you like? Whatever is good to you not to me and other.
Everytime someone makes a negative comment about Canon, it starts a war. Its like someone is picking on your child.
I'm not seeing anything yet that shows improvement over the previous model in terms of tracking. I'm with the other posters that say there are a lot of new features in this model which sound GREAT, but they dont work.
At least from what many posters are saying. We also havent seen any full size images to view at 100% either. We are only seeing the few selects that have been cropped and PSed and look great on the internet.
Many people are starting find this camera isnt giving them more keepers.
Arash Hazeghi made a post here not too long ago showing the same thing. Many OOF shots. Why is it that he can get the shots with all other systems, but not the 7D....yet people want to say "User error". Dont think so.
He may have a bad model....who knows, lord knows Canon WILLl throw out a lemon these days. Everyone attacked the 1D3 users at first until it became more and more of an issue. Then look.
This thing is about to be replaced by the 1D4 any day now, and it still doesnt give the solid results of its predacessor. I use a 1D3 and it sucks at times. I'm waiting on the 1D4 and was hoping to see huge comments on the 7D...as I know the 1D4 will get the hotroded version of that system....but if it sucks, I dont want a hotroded POS.
Just as a side note to those who made the comments about how small the images are in VF, why did the Nikon D700 get sharp images with less MP'S and wider FOV....

Doesn't change anything, it known "Nice shot" really means nothing in most cases.
Care to comment on the fact that OP said he wasn't trying to focus on the eyes? Or the fact that on some of the samples he focus point wasn't even on the subject but the camera managed to keep tracking it?
Seems a bit to convenient for you to have missed them...

How that should effect final result in your opinion? Did you ever tried to focus on eye of ducks while they are in full speed?
It's too early to make any kind of judgement on the 7D'd focus, we need more folks who have the camera to post their shots here once they've had a chance to use the camera a bit. Seems to me they'll feel more inclined to do that if we can dial back a little on the aggressiveness(?). Please.
