Since I have the 24TS-E and know what it can do, I believe you when you say there was no PS adjustments other than sizing.
Interesting that on the Alt form someone posted your image and a MF user commented that there must have been considerable manipulation to achieve the contrast and sharpness you got in this image.
Some people just don't want to believe.

You are right.
I never purchased that lens because of certain negative feedback but I must say your lens appears to do the job very very well.
I also once saw an image that displayed considerable barrel distortion and while this could be corrected I was concerned about being able to deal with this correction when you were going to stitch 2 or 3 images together.
Perhaps I should have jumped to the early 24 TS-E some time ago.

I've not experienced serious or noticeable barrel distortion with my 24 TS-E. The images I posted were uncorrected for this. Straight lines pretty much stay straight, even when at the edges of the frame. I had another copy of this lens a while back and had no barrel distortion with that one either. It was even sharper than my present copy.

great images veroman.. not many images get me to say wow when I first see them....very elegant images.
Thanks very much. You should see them in all their glory at full-rez. The 1Ds II really does a great job with interior work. My favorite camera for shooting interior design.

I actually upgraded my 24TSE to the new one as well. Before the 24TSEII came out I was looking for a wide angle landscape lense and considered the 21mm distagon or nikon 14-24 but I'm glad I waited. I don't have images to post but the new version of the lens is amazing. It covers all the architectural shooting that I want to do but now also is the best 24mm lens that Canon makes.

Yeah ... good as my Mark 1 Version is, it looks like I'm going to have to try a II out. I'll probably rent one for my next job.

Hi Veroman, superb images there! The 24 is a little long for indoor work. Have you tried the new 17 TSE? If not you should perhaps give that a try too.

It is pricey indeed, it is the most expensive lens in my collection.

The 24mm TS-E is only long in the tightest spaces. For anything wider I use my 16-35mm. A fixed 17mm isn't something I would use often. I can't justify the cost.
