Lol yes, my 17 year old cousin. I have 79 other shots of her taken with the 90mm apo, but given that it was mostly swimsuit stuff I probably should refrain

when you have a moment, would you comment on these two shots please? the color seems to be more vivid from the lecia. how about sharpness? it may not be fair, but afterall it is a lecia
thanks,
The two shots were taken early morning about 1/2 hour after sunrise. It was an overcast day with the sun occasionally peaking out from behind the extermely fast moving cloudsl.
The Leica shot the clouds were covering the sun. So I had balanced light. The voigtlander shot the sun peaked out breifly and with a band of sunshine swept across the scene. including the trees. You can see the right side the trees are still dark. This brought out the yellow of the leaves on a couple of trees where as the Leica the yellow is more subdued as it is not lit up from any sunshine.
I was using Singh Ray Reverse Grad Filters and possily Singh Ray Warming Polarizer and the Leica I may have used the Singh Ray Vari ND, with the Grads. I know on the Leica shot I had a 2 and 3 stop ND over the sky and a 4 stop ND over the water. The trees were in the clear area of the grads.
The Leica was shot at 70mm. Both are sharp lens but I found the Voigt to be sharper than the Leica at least at 125mm vs 70mm.

Now I know why the member chose "burningheart" as his nick. That is because his shots give me heartburn. He is definitely burningheart, burning my heart, to be specific. Now where is the "hide that lens" button?
There is no HIDE button, with guys like Paul, Ed, Thrice, Brainiac, and so on showing the real power of those lenses(Leica's and Voigts) you will eventually be drawn into pushing the Buy button not the Hide button. The only cure for heartburn is buying an alternate lens.
Nice shot thrice, I love the blues that come through, nicely balanced.

Guess that I should refrain from saying that I have lens caps larger than her shorts then. [Not that there is anything wrong with short shorts.]
But you do know its a UV and IR specialized lens and those pictures can be quite color spectrum deficient.
In time there will llikely be more, but tis the season that beautiful colors has ended, not much except, browns, greys, evergreen green and so far no white yet. Maybe once the new conservancy at the zoo is open to the public I can get shooting it again. or when I head to Yellowstone this winter, assuming the cold doesn't ice up the lens barrel.
Yes it is creepy. The police are acting like there is nothing sinister going on, and that there is a perfectly good explanation for why seven feet in shoes have washed up in the Georgia Strait. I wasn't too worried about finding a foot in this shoe, as I found it on the West Coast of the Island, but checked nonetheless.
EDIT- Now eight feet. I guess they found another one a couple of weeks ago.
The theory is that the feet are from bodies dumped after mob/gang killings. As the bodies decompose, the feet come loose and then float to the surface due to the buoyancy of the sneakers.
Or just some sick serial killer. Who knows? Maybe pigs don't like feet?
I admire your manual focus ability - do you have a microprism or split-screen? I try shooting a 200mm wide open on the 40D and often fail :-( Not that the 40D has large, bright finder anyway... thrice wrote:
How about a wide open Voigtlander 180mm APO lanthar shot

I try to shoot a Contax 180mm stopped down on a 5D MKII with a Eg-s focuing screen and mostly fail. So I am not about to start throwing stones here...
