can one of you early adopters post some pics of a black dog running towards you?
this seems to be a pretty good check of AF on a challenging moving object

(my dog is a high contrast australian shepherd)
Don't forget to shoot some coots (black) taking off towards the camera. If it can lock on with pin-point sharpness the AF is number one.

Is there a raw converter that works with 7D yet? I thought I just read that its not supported yet
Not ACR (i.e. Ps or Lr) but DPP will do the job just fine. Also, you have to assume that Adobe are on the case. I'd expect an update to ACR to be announced very soon.

If your running CS4 there is a new Beta camera raw converter offered by Adobe that will open the 7D files. It can be downloaded from the Adobe website. It is version 5.5.0.97.

Another shipped notice from J&R here. Glad I was able to order one from them yesterday.
I ordered yesterday also, but as of this evening, still no notice. If it hasn't shipped by tomorrow AM, I'm cancelling the order. Since at least one person called their order in today and it's been shipped already, I would think that having ordered it yesterday on line, it would hold an earlier place in line.

Holy barrels, that is sharp. With a 2x TC?! That must be one incredible lens...
I have read that the 200mm f2 is sharp but I swear I can't tell the difference between with and without the Canon 2X II TC. Maybe I lucked out on both though the 200 most likely is very well checked out at the factory before it leaves.
