Tremendous idea, Mike, my friend! And, needless to say, perfectly executed. Good versus Evil is a very difficult thing to portray in a single shot. Masterful work! I thought, though, that vampires withered upon sight of the cross. To have a vampire holding a cross is pretty remarkable. How much blood did you have to give to have him to risk his very existence.
Warm regards,
Endre

Hey Endre Andy! Always glad to hear from you. Thank you!
Perhaps someone stuck it in his chest and he's trying to pull it out. Na, I think he is tired of living for a thousand years and he is embracing his death But seriously I liked the tension it brings together as one, trying to avoid cliché. Don't be so literal you guys.
Great shot. Awesome lighting and composition as always!
My only comment would be that I think the image works a wee bit better without being able to see the neck for that extra drama. But I am nit-picking a personal preference so you can use your jet from last week to shoot me down.
P.S. My wife (Mairi) said he looks a bit like a Gospel singing Vampire
Really like this shot! I think you have captured the desired effect. Would love to see some longer fingernails and more straining of the fingers. Well done!
I love it!!!
What a good idea and excellent execution…
I’m not letting anybody convince me that he wasn’t trying to pull the cross from his chest.
Superb work, congratulations Mike!

Agreed 100% Deke. The hand was not originally going to be in the shot and I over looked that.
Thanks for all your thoughts guys. I tend to get caught up in the moment and miss some esthetic details especially when I am the subject of my own shot. It is quite a work out. Not that I am looking forward to getting back in front of the camera but I may think a re-shoot with all your input taken to heart. Thank you.
Damn.....Mike this is something else!! we could all say something for instance, I think I would love to see some blood or something coming off your hands or even the cross burning, but you know, something this bad ass, is always going to get someone saying it could be this or that because its done so freaking well that you want to add to it!! It is rocking like it is man and we wish we could come up with something like this ourselves conceptually and all the rest. That is why you are the real deal buddy!!
I think you are possessed in this image. I keep looking at it and you are truly gone if only long enough to make this image. That is you correct? Amazing work Mike..well done!

Steve, you have always been a big supporter of my work. I thank you so very much. I hope you like the new shot even more.

Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, Yes, that was me as a daemon and now a hippie. Really I'm much cuter than both of them.
Another great shot, either shot is a strong contender.
Re. feedback etc. Steve R summed it up perfectly. It is all to easy for me to be an armchair critic as while all of us will hopefully produce a cracking image at some point (by luck if nothing else) to come back week after week, year after year, and consistently produce strong, exciting images is the work of a real artist/pro.
