Found this today while out looking for photo ops. This is the entry and exit for a parking garage in downtown Hartford, CT near City Place.
C&C always appreciated.
Thanks.
BTW - if someone can help me understand why the posted/deresolved pic looks 'bad' compared to the original and what the secret to good-looking 640Xwhatever is, I'd appreciate it.
Welcome to the forum BTW- I'm assuming this is your first post!
Don't have my home PC in front of me at the moment so I can't tell you the settings, and I'm sure someone else would be able to tell you better, but anyway:
If you are using PS:
What downsizing algorithm did you use? I've the found the bi-linear/ cubic sharper don't do a very good job, so you could try another.
Also what settings are you using when saving the file for the file quality? You need to set it as high as possible. I'm guessing but it looks as though there is too much JPEG compression.
Andy - Yes, this is my first WA - thank you for the kind words. I did not use PS but will look at that in PS and see if I can find the right algorithm. Thanks for the tip.
