First of all a BIG thanks to my buddy Woods23 for tickets.
I also want to give Scott Sewell a shout out for info on location.
Man, Woods23 and myself had a great day of shooting.
I got to meet several other FM'ers at the track.
Most of this group was shot with my 1D & 300+2x.
Hope you enjoy.
Jarvis
PS be gentle this was my first time shooting SuperBikes...
Great job for your first time. My favorite would be the shot of Larry Pegram.
the third image in your first group needs to have the shadows opened up and this shot would be very cool one from such a low angle. You need to go into PS and use the shadow/highlight control and then go into levels to bring up your saturation.

Thanks Mike, I did forget to tweak that one, got in such a hurry trying to do too many things at once. I like the images on your site.
Looks like a fun perfect day. I have always felt those guys were flat out crazy!
Then I watched some X-Games
Mind sharing how you shot?
handheld or Mono?
EFIX Data, Ect..
I always enjoy learning

Most of these was without mono, hand held "IS" off.
The one of the 6 bikes in transition and Jason Britton (stunt rider) were with the 24-70. I'll have to see if you can do Exif data after the fact.
Very unusual perspective, ie one you dont usually see, and the composition is excellent. The combination of the two gives you a "feel" for the race itself.
To me, this shot is better than #3 from the first set b/c there is only one subject, with others chasing him, adding a "tense" feel of a race. #3/1 is too busy for me, even though it has the same perspective as #3/3.
Nice captures for your first time shooting superbikes.

Thanks Lance for the kind words. I had an excellent spot to shoot from thanks to Scott.
Nice work Jarvis! It was my first time as well-at least taking pictures, my last superbike race that I attended before this was the last race in topeka- in 1991 (I think)!
