Thirsty bee on a wet lily pad. I used to have hundreds of bees come to my pond to get a drink; now I have maybe 50 at a time. I'm glad to provide them with a pub of their own. :-)
I like, I like...hummingbirds are cool, but this is cooler. Very nice shot.....Beverly!...I thought that might have been yours;o).
Looks like Aunt Bee has a built in straw;o).
Hope your writing is going well also;o).

Very nice! It's not often you get a macro shot with action, visual context, and a little story to go with it.
Thanks! Glad you like the whole package. When they first started coming to my pond I was nervous that I'd get stung, but I can get right next to them for insanely close macro shots and they don't bother me; all they want is a drink.

Wow! The color, the lighting, the sharpness. Sweet.
Thank you. I saw the sunlight hitting the water beads on that leaf in a certain way and ran inside and grabbed my camera. I waited for a bee to come to that lily pad, and sure enough one did within 60 seconds! So much beauty in nature, never ceases to amaze me.
Outstanding shot Bev, Bee's are having a hard time of it around the world, I watched a program on them the other day and in one country they have to pollonate their fruit trees because there are no bee's to do so, kinda scary what a virus can do. Thanks for sharing truely a fine shot.
What a wonderful shot. The lighting is great. The composition is great, and it all illustrates the theme so well. Then again, that is exactly what I expect from your shots.

Thanks, Norm! Yes, I've been distressed over the thinning out of the bee population just in my area. Last year there were less bees than ever before, but this year there are more than last, so I'm encouraged. I keep telling myself that nature finds a way.

Steve! Thank you so much. Always appreciate your nice comments.
