I just downloaded the Genuine Fractals Pro trial and tried it out on a scan of a slide that I intend to print at 20x30. When I try to run GF on the .psd file (which is ~220Mb), I get an error saying "The command "Genuine Fractals 6.0 Professional Edition Filter" is not currently available." But if I save a copy as a .jpg (file size 46Mb) it runs fine.
Thinking maybe it was a trial period limitation to strictly .jpg, I tried it on a smaller .psd and it ran fine.
I searched online, but couldn't find anything saying there was a file size limit. Maybe I just missed it. Does anyone know?
I've got 2Gb of RAM. I don't really have a dedicated scratch disc, and have never messed with the settings. I just looked, and its set to my C drive which only has 13 Gb free. I switched it to my storage drive which has 50 Gb free, shut down Photoshop, reopened and tried again. Got the same error.
not to hijack your thread but ill bet you $10 that if you try Alien Skins "Blow Up" youll like the results better than Genuine Fractals. Try the demo and compare the two results side by side - youll be amazed. I used to be a huge Genuine Fractals fan.
