I updated to LR 2.4 over the weekend and now I can't sync WB between pictures. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something going on that I haven't heard about?
Okay.... this is a serious problem. Any help out there at all? I cannot sync settings no matter which module I try. I'm wasting a vacation day from my day job to PP and I'm dead in the water.
I also just upgraded but have no problem syncing WB; I just synced WB on 5 pictures to be sure. I checked the WB box and all others were unchecked.
Are all of the files you want to sync RAW?
I have always selected the image that I want to copy, shift or control clicked the images that I want to change, and then selected the sync button that brings up the box to select the factions that I want synced. All of this is still working, the menu comes up and I select the functions that I want to sync and click okay and it's not happening.
I’m trying to think if I made any other changes to my PC… I installed a copy of Premier Elements downloaded from Adobe. Maybe there is a conflict with that software.
I'm on hold with Adobe right now... I' through three agents on my way to someone that can help... I hope.

Why would LR be using virtual memory when I have 3GB?

Is the White Balance that you're copying still set at "As Shot" If so, then when it synchs, it will sync them all as "As Shot" and won't change them.
I was wondering about this... I'm not sure that what you're saying is correct, though, because I do that all the time. What is different is that this wedding, in this church, was the first time that I used AWB because it looked better than my custom WB. I wonder if that has something to do with it?
Because I shot in AWB, I cannot sync/change the settings. I changed the images to custom WB without changing the settings and then i was able to sync the images. Now I have to figure out how to work around this self-made problem.
I have to change the source file from "as shot" to "custom" and then I'm able to sync the WB. I never had to do this before... it seems to be related to the fact that I shot AWB which I had never done. The 5DII is a lot better at AWB than my old cameras, so I gave it a try.

Damn tony beat me to it... I just discovered this same.. feature... a minute ago, and I noticed your thread without reading the whole thing an hour ago.
Yes, if you sync the WB in the initial pic as "As Shot" all pics will have the WB set to "As Shot" instead of the numeric values of the WB in the selected photo.

It's not really a problem, just that LR thinks that you want to sync all your white balance to "As Shot"...
Just adjust one file very slightly then sync all the rest. Should work pretty quickly still.
It's not a problem now that i know what's going on. My files always say "as shot" yet there is never an issue changing/syncing WB. It must be because the metadata shows AWB. Like I said, I usually use a custom WB from a gray card or set the camera to cloudy. I have never used AWB before this gig... PITA
