I've been in the midst of a big project shooting for an exhibit I will have of my work next year in a museum - all Black and White flower photos. Thank you, Yakim, my friend! As always, I'm delighted when you like something of mine. I had exactly this shot in mind when I got the flower, but it turned out to be quiet a bit more complicated than I had anticipated since the lighted side kept blowing out. It took a lot of experimentation with the light to finally get this.

Thanks so much! I appreciate your kind comment and I'm glad you like it. I'm also happy that you like the rose in b & w. That one really seems to have been a big hit and it inspired the whole series. There are lots of people her at FM that consistently do great work and I'm glad you find what I do to be so helpful.

Thanks, Andy. I really appreciate your kind comment and am very glad you like it. Making outcome predictions for the WA has been notoriously difficult and it is even hinted at that to call a photo the No 1 shot in advance curses it to oblivion. (Yikes! ) I don't subscribe to such nonsense, though.

Well it was certainly worth the effort, it's beautiful. I've been having a play with the image and cropping the centre makes an interesting abstract too, but then cropping so much out seems criminal to do so!
Think this is going to be somewhere in the top 3, and I wouldn't mind betting no.1
Wow, talk about the flower assignment...Jeez... Patterns are powerful here. Very very nice, but you see, I bet Mike couldn't let you win two many in a row!! I can't compete for a while because I just got a new computer and don't have my photoshop up and going yet........hopefully soon.
