p.2 #1 · Where are all the 1Ds2s?

I got mine used from Adorama and they were willing to deal a little bit and upgrade shipping. It turned out to have 50K on the shutter and is in great shape. I'm happy with my purchase and love the output.

Got one myself about 4 months ago for $1700. Excellent condition, but a high shutter count. Works flawlessly. It's a phenomenal camera. Get one if you can! I don't think I'll sell mine unless it breaks beyond repair, which I don't see happening.

You just have to be willing to buy from overseas, like, e.g., Australia (hint).

+1 to in my bag as well. It comes out before anything else including the 1D3. Best camera I have ever owned and I have been shooting for over 30 years.

Be careful. Once you go full-frame, there's no going back. And once you go 1D, there's no going back. You see where this is going.

Yes, and I have had two 1Ds MK II bodies for many years. Then I got the 1Ds MK iII and will be buying another one of them. As much as I like the 1Ds MK II it is time to move on.

I just bought (and sold) a brand new 1Ds mk II plus a 100-400 lens and another "kit" lens for $3000. I probably should have kept the new body and sold my older 1Ds II. I made a quick $500 profit on the deal so I was happy. EDIT: I meant to say I bought it for $3000 and sold it for $3500.

Wow...you undersold that combo! A brand new 1Ds II would probably easily sell for $2600 alone, with another $1200 for the 100-400.

Mine is resting comfortably next to me at my desk. 85L attached, ready to go at a moments notice. And as someone earlier said just wish they could replace the LCD, add live view and micro adjust, I'll live with the battery.

Yeah, I was kind of slapping myself after I had half a dozen replies to my "for sale" ad in less than 5 minutes. Actually I sold the whole kit for $3500. $3k is what I paid, but it was still a hell of a bargain to the guy who bought it from me.
