The short ears howl wolf to me (yeah, pun intented). And younger animals at times tend not to be as weary of humans as they ought to be. This one does look slender though but that can be caused by several reasons as others have noted.

Henrik: I have left messages with the game warden people but unfortunately, this is Canada Day. I will have to drive to the park gate to inquire. He clearly is begging - but in a deliberate cautioius way approaching each car and then leaviing for the next if not sucessful. Thanks for the interest. Scott
To anyone interested in the wolf. I drove to the park gate and told them about the starving/begging wolf and then drove by the spot the next day and did not see him. I am hoping that his pack found him. Scott
