I just completed a transaction with rprouty. I purchased a Stroboframe from him. The transaction went extremely well. He provided a UPS tracking number for me, and he also didn't cash my check until he sent the bracket. Very rewarding transaciton.

I bought a lens from Jaime Rivera (a.k.a. James) and there were a few issues that make this a "neutral" experience.
He said he would ship the lens on Tuesday (7/27), and I didn't hear from him so I sent an email on Wednesday asking for a tracking number. I still didn't hear from him so I sent another email on Thursday. Finally on Friday I decided to give him a call on his cell phone, spoke to a lady and she said I had the wrong number. (I got real nervous at that point.) I then called his home phone and left a message with a lady that acknowledged this was his number and who sounded very similar to the lady I had just talked to at the cell number. A few hours later I get an email from Jaime stating he just shipped it along with a tracking number. He said his computer was down until Friday morning and he couldn't access my address.
I received the lens today (8/3) and it was in working order, but had a lot of fingerprints on the glass.
On the positive side, he did email me the week before last saying he was going to be out of town that week. He also threw in a free Cokin circular polarizer to make up for the shipping delay. Finally he shipped using Fedex 2nd day which was appreciated.
