I bought a D30 from him while I was in the course of moving and had only sporadic Internet access. I was a wary buyer because he did not have much history here and put him through a lot of unnecessary hassle (not the least of which was his allowing me to call him at his house to verify his identity!)
Afterward I had to ask my brother in law to do the PayPal transfer for me as PayPal and eBay had locked me out of my account suspecting my account was hijacked (I was conducting activity from Japan, my new home, too soon after updating my address in my eBay account, I guess)
Through all of this, tscarth was patient. The camera arrived promptly to my father's house in WA and I am told it turns on, and saves files (though my father had no lens to verify the image, I've no doubt it works fine).
I recommend tscarth highly and, while I doubt he'd sell to me again, I would not hesitate for a moment to buy from him.
Ken bought my $4,400 package and while paypal payment was pending, I've got a serious case of cold feet. I was going to honor the deal anyway and just buy a new lens for myself, but instead Ken very graciously allowed me to back out of the deal.
I must say, that it's understanding like this that makes FM forums so unique. When perfect strangers make an effort to understand and accomodate each other in such manner, what else can one ask for? It reaffirms once again that we are more a community of friends than anything else...
