Initially a few bumps in shipping details because it was his first time sending from US to Canada, but he came through like a champ, going the extra mile. Received lens and condition of lens is perfect. I think I'm having some front focusing issues from f1.4-2.8 though, but being an inexperienced user I'm not sure if it's the lens, camera body, me or a combination. At f2.8 and higher focus and sharpness of images are great. Tom again is going the extra mile to ensure satisfaction and offered to buy back lens or share cost to have it calibrated. Big hand for the offer! Will keep in touch on progress with lens after I work with the it some more and make contact with Sigma.
He was local to me, so we met at a public location. I got a chance to try out the lens and he answered several questions. He was willing to deal a bit, and I ended up purchasing it.

Great coommunications, quick payment etc. He was also very understanding when it was realized that I had forgot to ship a screw that came with the AB800 (which went out the next day).
I just bought this today from Slava, who was so kind as to meet me halfway even though he is in the middle of a big move. He helped me test it thorougly and then we went over the RAW files in RawShooter. Wow. Great lens from 100 through 400, will be great at horse shows.
Slava also took the time to review some test shots I had taken of my 16-35, which I have been thinking about selling. Bad news, it is a great lens WITHOUT the protective UV filter (which I took off for today's test shots). So now I can't sell it.
