Thank you for the kind words. It was a pleasure also to deal with both of you.
I don't look at the feedback threads because they aren't very useful. A more useful thing would be another forum that is moderated where the subject line of each thread would be the person's name. Then in the thread people could post both negative and positive comments about the person. Then it's all together in one place and easy for someone to reference.
This feedback is for SLRUSER. Ernie purchased a Canaon D30 from me and all I can say he is the best. Asked the right questions and very very prompt on payment. Responed to all my PMs and email. If ever given the opportunity I would not hesitate to deal with him again. A stand up person.
I think the single thread idea is a good one. If the person posting the praise is careful to use the other person's forum name in the message thread they post, then such praise can be easily found by using the forum's search function. Here's one example that took me just seconds to find (in the big thread) by searching in Buy and Sell for "Greg M":

Mark,
But isn't the problem that many are not careful? There is a lot of hard-to-find feedback in that thread.
It seems the competing proposal is for a separate 'Feedback forum'. Is that inferior to the current single-thread approach?
I am just trying to understand, not trying to argue with you.
Sorry Tom, I disagree. If anyone is considering a purchase from, or a sale to, a particular individual, all they have to do is click "search" and type in the person's forum name, select "Buy and Sell" and click search. When I did that for Greg M I came up with many many threads for Greg, including this one and the one I linked above. Please notice that when you click on the link to Greg's praise in the big long Positive Feedback topic, it takes you DIRECTLY to the message that is about Greg M. It does not just dump you at the top of the thread and then require you to go searching the whole thread. In the linked example, the message in question is on the second page of the thread.
JMann - Sold him a Tamron 28-75. Quick and easy payment with paypal. Smooth as silk.
dadas115 - Sold him a Tamron 1.4x TC. Quick payment with paypal e-check. Had a lot of good feedback here so I didn't mind shipping before the check cleared, which it did as expected a couple days later.
mc05401 - Sold him a 20-35 2.8L. Same easy transaction as with JMann.
I'd do business with any of these guys again and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend anyone else to do so either. Thanks guys!
I think the best method would be for people to register to something such as www.heatware.com I'm sure many of you have seen it. It's so easily searchable. You could go search mine if you like (fonebone).
Praise for Scot Perry (username "Scot"). I just purchased a Canon BG-ED3 grip from him, and it was a beautiful transaction. Communication was excellent and the item arrived as described.
Praise for Bankroll:a great seller, my new 20-35 L came well boxed and was shipped the day after we made the deal.
Also billyb2: Another quickly shipped, well packed, and as described lens.
I want to add that Bill (billyb2) has gone above and beyond in finding a lost instruction booklet and making another trip to the post office to send it out. He said he is about to sell another lens, if you are considering it don't hesitate, he will treat you right.
Thanks to both, and highest reccomendation for them as well.
Praise for Canonmx (Raymond) - I purchased the 300/2.8 IS from Raymond on 3/1/04 and it was as described. The lens works great and the transaction went smoothly. I would buy from him again.
I bought a D30 from Lewis Levine. Lewis was very quick to respond to all my emails and answer all my questions I had about the camera. The camera was just as he decribed and I would not hesitate to buy anything from him in the future. Thanks Lewis!!
