I posted my 10-22mm here, and within minutes Lalfer contacted me. Coincidentally he lives within a few miles of me, so the transaction occured in person. Still yet, he quickly tested the lens and gave me my asking price - no haggling or other nonsense.

Bought a Gitzo center column from Barry, and it was like new, just as he described it. Good communications, and fast shipment. I would deal with him any time.
Bought a Tenba camera bag from him. Not only is the item just as he has described it, he was in constant contact with me throughout the deal, shipping the same day I sent payment (about 2 hours later) and gave me a UPS tracking number (trust me, much more useful than USPS and their "tracking system").
Then when I screwed up and gave him part of my address wrong, he took the time to call UPS and correct it, after which notified me of the correction. I got my item today, only one day delayed (again due to my fault).
I would definitely do business with him again and would vouch for him anytime.
I hated to part with one of my all-time favorite lenses, but believe that it went to a good home with Max. Max was very quick with payment and hassle-free communication.
