Well it looks like new but doesn't work correctly it seems the friction doesn't work correctly and is hard to move and yes the locking knob is loosened. Unpon further inspection I found metal shavings on the end of the locking knob screw and what looks like a large piece of friction metal. I swas sold a ballhead that somehow got broken during shipping. I was told to send it to Bogen for warranty work.

Jack is a great guy to deal with! I just purchased a 300 f4 IS from him and after we agreed on price and delivery he upped the shipping and got me 2 day FedEx for the same amount! Communication was great, as is his generosity!
All items were as described. Communication was excellent and Randy is a hell of a nice guy to deal with. But I have to add that international buying can be quite stressful (In this case due to inefficient carrier. I won't mention the company in case of getting sued but if any person is interested which carrier NOT to use just pm me)
Comments: AppleCanon is a fine buyer, paid me by echeck on time and as promised. Though our transaction didn't work out due to a prob on my end I highly recommend him as a buyer. I refunded him his money.
