I offered to purchase the items he offered at his asking price plus shipping and insurance. For what it's worth, I was told I was also first to make an offer. I respect every seller's right to sell to whomever they want to. But in this case we spoke by telephone and reached an ironclad deal, including how payment would be sent, when, how shipment would be made, names, addresses telephone numbers, etc. The phone call then included this exchange: "Do we agree that we have a deal? Yes, we have a deal. Yes, we have a deal." Of course I then received e-mail mail saying, "Sorry, I got a call and I'm going to have to back out of my deal with you." People really should honor their unambiguous agreements.
