I've heard from my dealer that it's due to durability testing. The design has been changed since Photokina and every bit and piece of their equipment is tested extensively. Some materials of suppliers were not found adequate enough and that caused some delays.
I just receieved an email from the Swedish distributer AIFO saying that they have just received their first Quadra which will be their demo.
I am looking forward to hearing reports about it but am also dreading the thought that someone will write something that changes the Quadra from being interesting to a MUST HAVE NOW
I wouldn't be surprised if my supplier already had them in stock too, except I won't get a chance to go and see for myself for another week or two. I could ring him, but why torture myself?

Not at this stage. I nearly did order one, but just cannot see any advantage over my Ranger outfit except portability - so I bought a wheeled Pelican case to make things easier on myself, and see how that goes first.
Mine's not. That's not a review by any stretch of the imagination, that's amateur advertising copy. And... as Paul already mentioned, the size and weight advantage diminishes greatly once you start putting up stands and modifiers, backgrounds, etc. If I never needed more than 400Ws then it would be a no brainer. As it is... I will wait.
