Okay maybe to her, but even then, they'll look pretty *$&%ty. Was the point of your disc for low-rez proofs so she could see and not print, or so she could make small prints only?
OH okok...thanks! well the point of the low res was for emails and web stuff...hmmm basically for our standards it is bad but for the average citizen, it will be OK?

It will look pretty bad Definitely identifiably so. Are you asking because you don't want her to make the prints? Ask her to buy a higher rez disc..!
They will not look very good and the friends and family will ask who the photographer was and remark that he did a really bad job. No one will ever go into detail about the size of files and how they were for web use only. They will just say the photos look bad and associate your name with them.
A CD that has files too small to print is not good for you or the client. A watermark on a good quality image would be better to prevent printing if that is the goal.

Great point that was overlooked and needs to be re-emphasized.
yes but you are missing the point man... you can tell a dog not to bite..... they will bite you unless you explain in magical dog language that they can't bite . and offer another solution or reward that gets them what they want.
With these people you should offer a high res CD for $$$ explaining that you want your work to show the best it can.
If they say they do not want to pay extra for that then if you are just a new phoographer go over the moon for these people and offer to set up the files on a service like instaproofs (free) and give them a password. then if the friends and relatives want to make prints ... you can control where and how they are printed and give the other friends and family (AKA future clients) a look at some of your other work and a link to your website.
If you simply just say they will look like crap.. well the bride in my experience will say (and not necessarily to you) great I got crappy photos from this photographer and he/she didn't do anything to make me happy. I wouldn't hire that person again.
Can you afford to do this where you are just new?
