Puerto Montt, Chile, has about five local volcanos. Here's two of them. The first, Orsono, is dormant and has a variety of hiking trails around it's base and up it's sides. The second is active with unstable surrounding terrain. While there, it was cloudy all the time with some interesting cloud formations. C&C?
Man, now those clouds are out of this world! I like #1 the best of these. #2 feels a bit cut off at the base of the shot. I wish you had a little more to anchor it. But wow, what incredible wierd evil looking clouds...
You're feeding my cloud-passion in a big way with these two ! I've never seen clouds quite like these . Both are outstanding examples , but the colour version benefits from the extra reality .
I like them both. But prefer the colour version. It looks more threatening. I can just imagine standing below the mountain looking up and seeing that impressive vulcano. The second is more surreal.
Thanks all for your comments. It was one of the most beautiful places to see on the trip. Hiking through the rain forest for the day was a nice treat. Wish I had about a week down there.
