A few years ago the fact that the guy's hood is up would have conveyed certain reactions on my part. Nowadays boys and young men do it for the "gangsta" effect, so it completely changes my reaction to it.
If there were snow on the ground and the guy had gloves on, well...., I'd know he was cold. As it is....?
That's probably just me, though.

Great DOF and how my eyes are led by the road slowly into the distance. The three poles are a delicate touch as well. I wonder what is on the guys mind. Also must be a little chillier there in Connecticut. Here in LA everyone is wearing t-shirts, skirts, and flip-flops during the day haha.
I like the lines in this image. Could be any number of reasons why the lone figure sits there with that posture. As simple as, "Dang, I'm bored!" to as complex as, "Ah, jeez, how do I let her go?"
