I'm new here and I'm sure this question has been asked thousands of times, I've searched and still haven't found a clear answer. I have an older CY mount Planar 85/1.4 which I'd love to use with my 5D. I have a Fotodiox adapter that I've been fiddling with but my mirror hangs on its return. Is there any adapter which will solve this problem and won't give me focus issues or do I have to physically modify the lens? If so what do I need to shave off and how much? Thanks in advance for any help.
Thatīs surprising.
Could be a thingie sticking out to protect the rear lens...
I had to shave a little off an edge on my CY 35/1.4, but not the 85. Maybe a thicker (cheaper?) adapter will help?
My CZ Planar 85/1.4 works fine on my 5D with a generic adapter. I had to shave the edge of the aperture lever shield on my Distagon 35/2.8 (which most others have not needed to do), so I guess it's one of those lens or camera variability things.
