The assassin always plays an unique role when it comes to politics.

I remember it well because it was one of the set books studied for English Literature in high school. Looks a little young to be really sinister but a great idea and processing in b/w..

Oh please don't remind me of Julius Caesar... it gets really annoying identifying quotes in High School.

Nice image though, lighting is nice and the story is good too.

Love the image.

Marine Corps perhaps The knife is a K-Bar. Well known by Marines everywhere.

This is a great idea and a great execution, save from one issue: The model is too young for this role.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Thanks, Yakim. Two years in Africa taught me that age is no limit for soldiering. The Lord Resistance Army typically takes children this young to use as soldiers. Disturbing? Yes it is.

Yes, a replica of the famed K-Bar knife.

Matt, I identified the quote because in another post (which I will keep anonymous) the poster was criticized for using a quote without siting the reference. He wasn't taking credit for the quote, but that didn't stop the witch hunt.

I love Shakespeare's plays, but they didn't really become enjoyable until after high school. I can sympathize because one of my English teachers ruined Macbeth for me (I still break out into hives when I hear that play mentioned).

I do like the image itself, but I have top agree with Yakim: an older model could be more credible

Sorry if I misunderstood your comment Yakim. I agree and older model would have been nice, but I had to work with the models on hand. My goal wasn't a young Brutus, but a metaphor of an assassin and the uncertain political ramifications if they succeed. I think I will change to the title to better suit the intent of my image.

Nonetheless, I appreciate an honest opinion.

Cheers, BLR

This is a clever and well lit shot, regardless of the age of the model, although I agree that a swarthy, stubbled man under the cloak would be that bit more menacing. Well done!

Canon ball: Very true, but stubbled men with a cloak will not work for a nice glass of milk and a fresh, hot chocolate chip cookie!

I'd have done it for a glass of milk and a hot chocolate chip cookie! There's a bit of 6 o'clock shadow... but point taken. I have a restricted few models on my books as well, a 9 month old and a 2 1/2 year old!

I know these limitations all too well.

Got it now. The original title confused me.

And now the last trace of my confusion is gone.

Thanks, Yakim. I find that the internet is a dangerous tool because it gives the illusion of communication! Thanks for your comments.

Absolutely, right. In fact each and every tool can be dangerous, from the simple knife to atomic power. It's we who decide how to use them and in turn, reap what we have sow.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Very clever and nicely done. I don't think the model is too young. From what I understand terrorists start early and train very young boys.

A superb image ! Perfect for me. I think the age of the model renforces somewhat the political aspect of the assassin IMO. It vicious, insidious you would not guess where it would come. That's it's strengh.

Congrats,

Julien
