Demitri and Jim are two guys from completely different worlds currently living in Japan. When one day they met in Fred Miranda's on-line community they decided to meet in person, take photographs, get drunk, and have some fun. The images in this thread are the result of that meeting.
You do. It's in us all. Just gotta let the monster out once in awhile. These aren't all that great I think myself tho.
Thanks for the compliment!
larix,
Thanks man!
Appreciated!
altopog,
The one that looks like it's #2 there is actually two different crops (separate files). The Fredmiranda grey makes them kinda look like they're one again tho. Good crit on the Water ones! Thanks! I was kinda going for the texture abstract look.
Here is my bit...
Unfortunately water ones weren't very special - my own fault really. Couldn't be bothered to switch lens and get the flash out...=)
I also binned my HDRI attempt - the sky looks just stupid with all the noise and due to the fact I forgot that I carried the lens cap, I got mad flare all over the frame...hehehe
Oh well, there will be plenty of other opportunities...lol
Your fountain shots are superb, just like the rest actually! The old men shots are those you were talking about before meeting up?
I need to work a bit on my camera shyness a little...heheh
Andy, cheers for kind words. Didn't take nearly as many shots as I was planning though..=( Working on it..hehe
Almost missed the night shot I took. Creates a bit of interesting effect.
Should be best enjoyed while listening to Funk D'Void's "Volume Freak" album. Track - "Electrix 313", but that's just my opinion...
And so the adventure continues.
We went to get hammered (successfully) last night, but unfortunately I didn't bring a back-up camera for Jim as his kit can't do high isos.
The night was mad with many beautiful ladies, pints, foods, stroking beards (not necessarily in that particular order) and occasional horse in a woman costume...hangover followed as expected...
Nevermind, I did try to shoot for both of us.
Here are few shots. You could call it "Japan Photography" or something like that, but for some I suppose this will be "Yepp, I pressed the shutter"....
Thank you for viewing and for your comment!
We are trying to make it more of a regular practice, rather than random outings.
Might become a little tough on liver at some point...hehe
