Wow, Tosh, that's really something! I'd prefer the background to show normal colors, but the flower itself is spectacular. Great shot. What aperture did you use for that? I can't seem to get that much DOF (with my 100 macro) even at f16.

No coloured screens, no reality altering equipment/procedure/light of any sort, all natural.
It is just that the lens has a very narrow DoF when close to MFD, so it tends to mash up any background. Granted, I do try to put some thought into the background selection ...in fact as much, if not more, then it goes into the floral subject selection.

I got diverted a bit to some other projects, plus the weather has been utterly miserable here.....lottsa rain and drizzle which has made me miss the height of the fall colour turning.
