50 f/1.2....probably not the best lens for this type of photography because of the focus shift anomaly. However, in most other aspects the lens is very nice.
(I must also add I'd like it to be a bit sharper wide open but that's not a deal breaker for me.)

I gather that's your new lens, and a mighty 135L at that. You'll love it.
Here is a suggestion, if I may: if you can get within its FL range on BIF, the lens is really good for that, in fact one of the fastest telephotos one can have for that application. The "big guns" are sluggish in comparison.
I'll probably get 7D soon so I shall try that.
