Wow! Spend a couple of days out-of-town and this pops up. Already have a 24 TSE, but that 17 sounds appealing. And it would be quite useful on a cropper as well!

Those pictures look great. I have never used a tse lens, is it feasable to use it as a handheld lens (meaning using all its features) ?
IMO, no, if you want to use tilt. You could use shift without too much trouble hand held.
I rarely handhold any shots unless I'm taking "snaps" but I have occasionally handheld my 35mm FD TS lens (adapted to EF) in tilt mode. In fact I only use the tilt with my TS lenses. For sure using a tripod is easier, but I think both tilt and shift can be used with care.
- Any idea when these will hit the shelves? I'd buy the 24 yesterday if I could. And...
- Any indication/rumor/idea if the 45 and 90 TS's will get the same treatment. The 45 & 90 are decent lenses as they stand but since the updated 24 and the new 17 are out it made me wonder.

On another note, I was looking at the metadata from the sample 17 & 24 TS-E pix from the Canon review website hoping to find exif data on tilt, shift and/or distance to subject but didn't find anything. It would've been nice for use in dxo optics or PTLens if the info had been documented.
I'm eagerly awaiting sample photos from these lenses. In particular, uncorrected shots of test patterns would be nice to get a feel for the amount of distortion we're going to get in both versions. None of these lenses have made it out into the wild yet? We're only a few weeks from delivery, correct?
Its the middle of May fer crissakes. I count on the intertubes to post the latest in speculation, rumors and fake reporting and now it decides to let me down ?
I'm getting a wee bit impatient (if you couldn't already tell) because there's only 5 more days til my birthday. That and I cringe every time I have to take another shot for the current project I'm working on with the old 24 T/S.
