This is part 5 from last Sunday 2/1/09 outing with Lil, Stephen (Steve) and Matt, by the time these images were taken only me and Lil were left to enjoy and witness these special fishing sessions by Cormorants.
All were taken with D300 and 200-400VR lens plus Nikkor 1.4 TC at 550, F7.1 and 1/1250 except 3 that are noted. Manuel metering in changing light.
Wow Garen, that was quite a sequence of actions shots! So I guess by leaving I brought you guys some good luck! I don't see how they ever could have ate such a big fish, but you never know. Great captures.
Garen - what a sequence!!! Looks as though the bird almost swallowed the fish in #9. But according to Lil, it didn't WOW - size does matter in this case.

Thanks Thang, there were few and I believe it was swallowed.

Very nice action shots, Garen. Looks like that cormorant had problems not only trying to swallow that fish, but also trying to keep the other two cormorants from stealing the catch.
