p.1 #1 · 430EX II vs. Di622

Hi,

I have found a camera store in my magazine recently which is offering the 430EX II, badly scuffed, for £120, list price being around £170 at the moment for both the 430EX and 430EX II at other stores.
Now the Nissin Di622 is being sold at around £90 a difference of £30.

The Nissin is new, the 430EX II ex-demo and "badly scuffed".

It would be used as a back-up at weddings to my 580EX II and also to provide a wireless flash setup, a better alternative to the ST-E2.

What do you think I should do?

1) Wait out a bit and buy a 430EX II when I feel comfortable, probably before my next wedding in may
2) Buy the 430EX II at £120 and live with the scuffs
3) Buy the Nissin

Thanks

Buy the 430EX II, 3rd parties are only heartaches waiting to happen (save for a couple of exceptions in the Lens department.)

If you ever want to get beyond flash near the camera you might get a used 550 or 580 that can be a master in the Canon ETTL system.
