p.1 #1 · Lens considerations

Hi Folks, I had a great opportunity to shoot high school girls softball last spring. I had a great time shooting and getting to know the kids and their families. Even though things went relatively well, I feel it is time to invest in a new lens in preparation for the upcoming season, spring '09.

The lenses that I am considering are both Sigma, the latest version of 70-200/2.8 or the 100-300/4. Any opinions which would be the better choice? Why?

The body is Konica-Minolta 7d.

the siggy 120-300 would be a beaut for you

it is sharp sharp sharp - especially when stopped down to f4

Don't think they make the 120-300 for the Konica-Minolta.
I don't have any experience with the lens, but if you're shooting daylight softball, I would think the 100-300/4 would be a pretty good setup for softball.
