Hi, I'm pretty new to posting on the forums, so bear with my comments. I think I still need to work on how I critique photos. I'm also still a learner myself.
Pretty nice shots. I think the big thing that could've enhanced these photos is adding some depth of field. Your subjects aren't really popping out of the photo when the background is also just as clear as they are.
I like #7 the best. Did you get any other angles of this pose? I'd say some close ups of it would've been nice. #10 is also a very nice shot. #3, #6 & #9 could probably have used some fill flash to bring them out a bit more from the backgrounds.
Same comments as those above. I think you had a beautiful couple, wonderful location, and some excellent photos. Right now I'm struggling with when NOT to use the lowest f-stop on my camera. But I do think you could have used a wider apterture on many of these. That would pull the subject away from the background -- making the subject the focus of the shots.
I really love 7 -- I think you could even make it more dramatic by adjusting the tone curve -- getting those highlights brighter and the darks a bit darker. The rim light from the sun works well. Great moments.
I'm not a big fill flash person (except when bounced -- love bounced fill), so I think that a simple exposure compensation for the ones mentioned above could also have made the subjects pop out a bit more. Looking forward to more posts!
I agree with what's been said above, and I totally agree with what the Duke just said..........but I would probably knock the exposure down almost 2/3 of a stop and open the lens up.
Thanks, there are a combination of shots of mine and the second shooter my son. But I post things here to get feedback and I like the natural color, but I might have a look at increasing the saturation and seeing what they look like. Thanks again.
