Hi Alex,
So I have downloaded it , it is my actions folder, how do I run it, it is greyed out doesn't let me press the little triangle button.. is it because I have C34?

Well done...this is now my default standard for web sharpening now....very effective and easy to do. If it ends up a bit crisp, I just select the second layer and reduce opacity a tic.
Thanks VERY much.
If you ever want to explore a sharpening action I have for sharpening full sized items from Dan Margulis (if you dont already have it) just drop me a line and I will return the favor.

so Alex do you think your workflow improves my image?
While I certainly ain't Alex, I will say that your application of his technique to this image (a GREAT one, btw) looks a litte oversharpened.....**for my taste**. And though you say you've applied a mask to the water/sky areas, I most noticed it in the waters and in the rocky area at the water's edge toward the right middle ground area (where the rocky stuff gets a little light gray in color).

I have had some hits of people asking for my other sharpening action....and if no one here responds to my hosting option I will send it to you. But first is there anyone out there that minds hosting an action file for larger sharpening action?

Thanks for the nuggets of knowledge you 2, and thanks for the action, I'll be checking it out, tweaking it to suit my tastes and adding it to my web work flow.... which I havent payed much attention to in the past.

Well Pearlstreet was nice enough to put a copy of the Dan Margulis sharpening action I have for full sized sharpening up on a space on the web. Thanks! And thank you Alex for sharing your web sharpening action(s).
Here is the link for those who want to try it. (Full verion of photoshop only will not work on elements)

Gosh I'm sorry I obviously havent been in here enough, for those of you that are interested I have now created a simplifed action which should also allow you to add your own a little easier. I also took onboard suggestions to 'fade' the sharpening to luminosity mode and the sharpened layers (there are now 2 on top of an unsharpened layer) are in luminosity mode, with layer masks. The sharpest layer has a mask which is 50% grey which I beleive gives the best result as an average technique. You can paint white on it to get sharper still. If this still isnt enough, use a smart sharpen at 0.2 px and 100%. The latest version should also work on non-english versions of photoshop, which the last action did not. Older versions of photoshop do not have the 'fade' command so you should simply delete this part from the action (it should be redundant anyway since the layers are set to luminosity)
I hear that people using Mac's may not be able to download it. If that is the case drop me a line at alex[at]alexnail.com and I will gladly send it to you.
Jane to answer your question, yes, I do think that image looks better, look at the cleaner definition in the foreground rocks. Certain parts of the image could lok fractionally more saturated with the old method because I made adjustments as part of the action to account for the slight loss of colour from brightenign the slight edges and darkening the dark edges (which is obviously what sharpening is). The correction mentioned above will solve this.
Roman thanks a lot for the action. Its a shame that I found it after I placed an order for 150 prints!

You should put together a website to take donations, I'd gladly throw you a few bucks for putting this package together. Kudos!
As this is not my original work (I cant remember where I read it) and I got that knowledge for free, I dont think I should charge, but I am glad you have found it worthwhile
