p.1 #1 · HS Hoop

I just used the D3 for the first time to shoot basketball. ( I shot from the stands to get to know the camera a bit.) I am looking for opinions on how to post process or use noise reduction. The photos that I have included are right out of the camera, cropped and saved at a low resolution for posting. Any comments or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Not bad... crop 2 and 3 tighter. Exposure on #1 looks the best (1/500). Were you shooting manual or Av?

Big point guard in #1 looks like a slight horizon tilt to the right... (as well as #2).

Next time try shooting from the baseline.

As far as processing, that camera is great in terms of noise, but try a little Noise Ninja or similar and it should clean up fairly well. (proper exposure also helps).

Keep shooting and posting.

Thanks for the suggestions. These were shot in manual exposure, auto WB. I am going to work on getting a custom white balance that works well and try some post processing. The big point guard came in at the end of the game and went coast to coast on this play. The crowd got a kick out of it.

Appreciate your comments.

My wife had the same comment about the two rims.
