I searched for this and could not find anything in the forum - so apologies if im beating a dead horse. I was looking at the haoda adapters. anybody has any experience/problems with them.
1. would a Nikon lens (eg 14-24) auto focus with the haoda adapters or is this MF with focus confirm?
2. whats the difference between these two?
1. You will not get AF with ANY adapted or converted lens except the conurus Contax N conversions.
2. The cheaper adaptor uses the looser attachment method where the pin locking the Nikon lens is colocated with the hole for the EF pin lock. These tend to loosen over time. Neither adaptor is suitable for adaptation of 'G' lenses like the 14-24 as they do not provide aperture control and G lenses lack an aperture ring.
3. Flash metering will work but will not be accurate with AF confirm adaptors as the camera is making assumptions about aperture that are not accurate and digital flash metering essentially requires accurate aperture information. Direct flash will have more issues than bounce flash. It's like using a lens which doesn't inform the camera of focus distance, and will have similar inaccuracies.
