p.1 #1 · filters

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the best filter to use on a 70-200 lens would be. I mostly shoot indoor sports and I am just trying to get some ideas. Thanks

depends on what you want to do

for digital you pretty much use:

-UV for protecting the lens
-circular polarizer
-graduated neutral density
-varicolours
-star-cross
-infrared

those are pretty much the filters that can't be done digitally

none of which will be much good for indoor sports.
I would not really bother with any of them for your stated shooting.
but You should have a circular polarizer inthe largest lens size you have + some step rings for the others and a couple of ND filters when you want to slow your shutter speeds down but the iso wont go low enough.
