These were all taken with a Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens and a B+W circular polarizer. Each image consists of an HDR layered on top of the original exposure at reduced opacity with parts of the original exposure masked back in.

Last is best for me but for composition and interest but is missing sky details.
1,2 have too much wide angle affect for my taste.
3 feels too busy. I would try a different perspective and less on top.
Nice pictures. i use the same technique but use the single image on top with typically reduced to 60% or so. I like the shadows better.

Try to up the vibrance or bring out specific colors like the green moss.
