My daughter and I were waiting for my wife, I had my equipment because I was scheduled to shoot Santa in the park for the local paper, and I realized I was missing a possible shot literally right under my nose. Aside from throwing this into B&W, I haven't edited this - and would be grateful for constructive suggestions, c/c, whatever.
(I suppose I could tone down the white wall under the window to avoid potential distraction from the subject . . . but here's the more-or-less original shot. I can't help feeling that more knowledgeable Photoshop wizards might be able to do something rather interesting with this.)
Technical BS:
Canon 40D
400 ISO
24-105 f/4 IS L at f/5.0 in AV mode
1/640 for the first, 1/1250 sec for the second, some exposure compensation dialed in.
No flash, hand held.
Good effort Bill. I see you are thinking photography.
These two aren't working for me. I think it is the compositions. We do get her reflection and a good view of the window offerings in #2 but not so much in #1. The extra stuff outside the window (the red door frame for example) is too much, I think.
Still you gotta try stuff like this and adjust for next time.
