this is my personal opinin, i hope it won't offend you.
nice lightings on the last 3 images, with the black background. the body has more definition, you can see all the her curves and bumps vs the shots with white background. her tummy looks washouts.
loved the #1 baby pics, you just caught the nice facial reaction.

Mel I know what you mean about the lack of definition in the "high Keyish" photos. Normally we blow highlights because we like things contrasty but I think we went a little to far this time

Very nice series! Nice lighting and cute baby. I really like the ones with the black background. I agree that the high key shots are a little too bright.
I like the first 3 pics but they indeed seem overexposed, which works for #2, but not so much for #1 and especially #3 which I feel would be the strongest of the three if we could get some nice, deep colours, especially since there seems to be a possibility to make the colour of the hat/flower more intense.
For the moms I prefer the black backgrounds in general but I noticed a few white top on white bg or black/black and these do not work very well for me, especially on #5. On the other hand it's ok on #6 and I like the light on that one but again seems a bit overexposed to create a diffuse/soft feeling but actually seems a bit harsh to me - there should be a way to bring back the exposure while keeping the soft feeling.
As usual please take this with a grain of salt, especially since it's hard to guess what was intended and what wasn't without explanations
