p.1 #1 · Bonnie & Clyde Style photoshoot

Hi all,
I've tried my first fashion-style shoot: it was supposed to be in the afternoon, but the models were late (VERY late) so I found myself shooting when it was already dark...
I was a little bit worried at first, but maybe the photos came out even better without any sunlight, using just my speedlights!

Tell me what you think!

There's a lot going on on these shots. The background is a bit distracting in a couple of these and the composition could be better. Also, the stylist (if any) could have done a much better job in coordinating the clothing. They just seem thrown together, with no apparent rationale.

The clutter on the ground should have been cleaned up (or cloned out). They add nothing to the shots.

Lastly, the lighting is a bit lacking. The shadows are a bit uncontrolled in a couple of these. Some of the lighting issues may have been out of control due to the models tardiness.

With all the improvements that I mentioned, I really think you have potential. Better luck next time!!

Keep shooting!

Nice lighting, especially considering you were caught off guard expecting them
not to be so late. Seems like there might be a slight color cast in #1.

Good job adapting to the circumstances.

Hi,

Looks like it was a fun shoot.

Lots of potential.

Good use of the "retro" wardrobe.

My favorite is #4.

Happy New Year.

Thank you everyone for the comments & critics! I still have a lot to learn, but I think this is a great place to get feedback and improve my technique... you will hear from me more often
Happy new year and happy shooting!

ps: the yellow spot in #5 is something I should delete in PP.. it's just a street lamp

Pictures are great, but as a history buff and fan of good firearms, I must ask:

How much do you really want to emulate Bonnie & Clyde? If they want to go all the way, get the ladies a sawed-off shotgun or two (they called them whippet guns) and get the man a Browning Automatic Rifle. Or, you could pick up a Thompson submachine gun or two.

Just make damned sure they aren't loaded.
