This shoot was in a couple of different locations and was only my 2nd shoot of anything. I took some of the suggestions from my previous thread (first family shoot). I appreciate any comments and/or critique.
Please let me know if the pictures are too big!!
Also, if any wedding photographers in the Phoenix area want an assistant/2nd, please send me a PM
Many of these are nice, but my main concern is the light on the subject. When you are going for flare, you still need to get some light on the subject so that they are properly exposed (or close to being so). Also, watch out for dappled sunlight, because it can cause distractions that can ruin a shot (as with the mother's nose in #3).
Your eye and ability to engage the subject will serve you well as you continue to learn to use the available light, reflectors, and fill flash to your advantage.
Many really nice photos.
In number 3 the shadow is harsh on her nose and isn't particularily flattering.
In #5 the two older children are oof because they are on a different plane of focus than their younger brother who you focused on.
#4 is great!
-watch dapelling(sp) maybe use a reflector or find shade.
You have a great eye, and I think you did a very nice job for only your second "anything!" As you gain more experience, I'm confident that you'll develop the technical aspects and learn how to control your light better as others have mentioned.
