I didn’t write this “I agree it is excellent price for this lens, people who is asking less and cheap don't respect FM community and should not belong here. Go on Ebay and get scammed there for free!!!”
I personally give up! Liar Liar pants on fire!
Not only is their any respect .. there is no truth!

You had this thing priced at $3,250 and were still getting low-ball offers? Unbelievable.
It's one thing to be in a tough economy, but it's another matter entirely to have to deal with clueless people who want something for nothing. Wonder if those who low-balled are thinking they'll get a better deal over here?
Good move on keeping that fine lens, CG.

I am amazed at the controversy this B/S board creates. Price is a mutual thing that a seller and buyer agree on.
I have to chime in here. I'm new to this forum. I joined, and PAID! to buy and sell here. I don't view this as a privlidge, But a paid for right. To my knowledge there are no rules on offers submitted! If there are, then I won't be selling or buying here.
If many of the so called Long Term Members, get upset with us Lowley new members for low balling or making low offers, you have issues! This is a Buying & Selling forum not a Sorority. If you get offended, you've got issues period.
It's very simple, When someone states an asking price it is open for all offers unless stated by the seller, Have you ever heard " Price is Firm! " You have all the right to REFUSE the offer, or RESCIND the right to sell the item, It's called capitalism.
Personally, I think most of the asking prices here are on the high side, Why? Call B&H, or Adorama, or Calmet and see what they would give you for a trade in, and then see what they sell it for. I think we would all be surprised.
I'm not offended by someone's offer and I don't think any special members should either.
Geez, I wish the original request to sell the lens had received this much attention....maybe I could have sold it. But then again, I really don't lose because I still have a great lens.

FWIW, Carl I was in the market for one; bought one a few days ago for more than what you were asking and there was no shipping involved. So I do think the price is / was fair...
