Don't tone down anything! This is fall colors, they are backlit, so let those colors sing! A very nice job here, you really captured those colors well.
Thanks for the feedback. Most of the image is natural, with a little post exposure lightening of the tree trunks, not much just a little, and a very small amount of curves. Well, maybe it ain't so natural, Ha! Anyhow I'm getting ready to try and print this image at 24"x36", from a 10meg file, It will be interesting,
Again, thank you for the compliments. I joined here because I wanted feedback from more advanced Amatures and Pros, so I can learn and make sure I'm heading in the right direction with where my photography is going.
Beauty! the saturated colors are nice...the trees have a slight magenta cast that you may want to fix before printing...and the shadow areas have a cyan color cast.
Leon, I'll play devils' advocate here. If this shot is printed and hung on a wall for a long period of time, I think its owner will notice that the irregular patterns created by the sky and foreground grass are distractions. Otherwise, I think you've done an excellent job of processing this image to bring out the colors and contrast. It's just that the overall composition is flawed by the competing elements and non-complimentary colors.

Sunny, Man you are correct! I was blind to seeing that until your comments. Well I made the adjustments to the mid tones and pretty much illiminated the magenta cast, except for a little in the very thin trees in the back, I think to some degree the light shinning through the leaves has casted the color somewhat. In regards to the cyan cast in the shadows, I have a hard time seeing it because in the shadows there is green grass, I did do a slight cyan adjustment, and it really looks so much better color balanced. Thank you so much for the great input here.
Beautiful Colors Leon! Superb shot!
Few months back at a local photo club meeting we had a speaker talk about enlarging files for printing. I don't remember which programs he showed samples of but I do remember what he recommended and it was FM plugin Si Pro. I'm sure others can chime in on what they use.
