p.1 #1 · Redwood lichens

California redwoods. Under the canopy can be surprisingly dark, with the occasional shaft of sunlight finding its way to the ground.
Scanned from a slide.

It looks to dark on my screen. Try bumping some exposure.

I agree that it's very dark (although there was precious little light in there to begin with).
My purpose was to focus attention on the lichens as the subject and the redwood on the right as an object. Did I go too dark? For many, no doubt I did. But I often like negative space--especially black.
In any case, thanks for the input.

Hi Charlie.

I like this intimate, inside view, of the forest. The highlighted greenery in the dark space works very well as does the colour on the right hand tree. Also very intriguing are the glimpses of other detail that comes out of the darkness.

Thank you Martin.
The redwood forests are great places to look for Bigfoot. Especially if you're with a friend or lover, and have a picnic lunch, and perhaps a camera and tripod.
Pretty much the same that way as looking for Nessie at Loch Ness.
