While watching a GBH feed in a marsh I had this KF come flying in over my back and go into a hover about 250 feet in front of me. I had my 500+ a 1.4TE and on a monopod so I gave a burst at it. Overall, 15 shutter clicks went from my 1DM2N and I used them all in the automation. It was just a bit to large to place the main BG layer so I tried it on Flickr and I think it will work. The opening layer is the very last photo and it was going into its dive. I did it in PS2. http://www.flickr.com/photos/loub/3162442463/sizes/o/

Hey Lou, that is really cool! I love to watch these guys hover, I just wish I could get in on one to grab some 'burst' Nice captures, they look real good to me! Last shot looks like a face on the 'Nello' side to me
Sean, yes I think the word 'Nello like' comes in to play

Hi Lou,
Well we should keep experimenting and you captured this hovering KF nicely.
The last one is definitely a Nello shot
Martin
Thanks Martin and I have been meaning to try this for awhile as I think it was Socrate that posted how he did it in PSCS2 and not Image Ready and I found the note he posted so if it was you socrate Thanks it works.

Thanks Karl and I played with this a long time as I kept screwing up but I think I got it now. I have not been around for a bit as I am trying to figure a way back to New York and the eagles and mountains and it is a good tim buying but a bad time selling, either way I have to go. Eagle fest there on Jan.17th. and I can't be in it but I did volenteer a poster for the auction.

Thanks Roger but it was a good thing I was not being paid by the hour to produce it unless I was getting paid by the NY Yankees

Short movie from a nello perspective That's neat Lou...very well put together...loaded instantly here! Great job tracking that bugger...never easy
I am sorry about the shortness of it Nello so maybe I should pay my actors more fish,... you think Too bad I missed the dive but the little sucker dropped right off the end of the earth in front of me. The GBH never even raised its head. Tracking was easy as it stayed within a foot or so through out the 15 frames.
I'll say this also, I could not do this off a monopod with 700mm without the IS on.
Lou
Nello-mania... you can fight it, but you can't stop it.
Kirk
Thanks Kirk as I finally got out for a bit. Been busy trying to figure how I can get off this Cape and back to the mountains with out taking to big a bath. I need an eagle fix.

cool Lou, I thought you might like to know that bird juan the love sick song sparrow just returned for his third yeear. He is the one that tries to get into our house when my wife teaches her piano. Then lands on the fence, sings and then tries to get in the house again. Bruce
Thanks Ant It took me awhile to make it work and than it was to large to post right up so I tried Fliker and it workes on the URL fine. A first for me so now I can try for somemores. Nello was very kind to me and I thanked him.
