I'd buy two of those Lenses immediately. Has the availability been announced?
I recommend to use one on 40D at 100mm and another on FF body at 800mm. No need to z then and it's a perfect setup!
Great results mr Zm except for #4 looks abit ... errr strange in BG ...?

Not sure when it will be released - Really

Yeah, had a chainlink fence in the BG of 4. Should have tried to clean that up but got lazy.

Just come up with a whopper and you are automatically enrolled - shouldn't be too difficult

You beleived ----- ME Sucker !!!!! Keep that credit card handy though - it might come true - someday

Glad you liked the pics - there really was a reason for this post besides the lens parody. A point that seemed to escape a couple of the posters.

Cripes, it must take 5 minutes to zoom out from 100 to 800 with that thing. Nice shots though. I think that is one lens I won't be adding to my bag...I mean the back of my truck anytime soon!

Does it have the twist lock like the 100-400mm, imagine forgetting to lock it and pointing it towards the ground as you walk away, you would drill a hole to the other side of the planet!!!

Would you care to elaborate or was this a hit-n-run comment? Wrong side of the bed today, not enough nooky, can't apprecaiate a little tounge in cheek humor? It's not like it was posted with complete sincerity and most of the folks around here appreciate a little good natured humor once in a while. I appologize if you feel otherwise. Probably wouldn't hurt my feelings if you put me on your hide list - I can take it.

Thank you,

My attempt: Canon sent me two of these lens to try and put a Pentax mount on one so I can use it with both of my camera bodies.

Ken, you must be the luckiest man in the world. What an awesome opportunity!

I too am wondering what this thing will weigh and, naturally, what it will cost. I wonder when it will debut?

I wonder how many people will use the "quick print" button on the tripod collar? hmmm.

I saw that too and was immediately jealous!

I wonder how much weight the quick print button would add... Hmm....
