How about we just let a forum be a forum? Complaining about any post only perpetuates negativity. The only thing I don't like seeing besides vile language on a forum is "Why don't you use the search tool?" Negative personality traits can be shifted to the more positive side.
I agree. You don't have to read every thread, and you certainly don't have to reply if you don't have something useful to say.
I'd like to ban threads of incredible razor-sharp photos with fabulous bokeh and amazing tonality taken with bodies/lenses the cost of which I cannot personally justify.

Or the exact same shots taken with every-day consumer cameras and lenses, that all the forum pixel-peepers pooh-pooh, claiming they aren't capable of taking sharp photos...

Reverse that. I would like to ban posts with photos illustrating incredible image quality taken using inferior gear by incredibly talented photographers. It makes me feel soooo inadequate.... who needs that kind of grief in their life?

agree, just ignore the thread... it might be annoying to you, but its helpfull for those who have the same question or just curious by the title of the thread (save the trouble using search)
BAN Duck photos from a local pond, whether rolling on the grass or in flight !!!!!!! Just ban ALL DUCK photos , unless it's a mandarin duck !
If you do take duck photos..don't use $10k rigs....please !
How about those "I just ordered a _____ and it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm so excited that I just had to make a meaningless, long-winded, and uninformative run-on sentence to gloat about something that nobody else cares about" type of threads?!

Has anybody looked at the "questions" that are presently on the Canon forum? It's like a stream of unfiltered consciousness. I would say 50% of the new questions, the ones that seem to get logjamed in the brain, end up here. And BTW, referring someone to the FM search engine is not a negative reponse, it's a time & space saver. On another ground-breaking photography forum the search is almost required.
