Did a quick senior session. She is an artist, so nothing traditional in the bunch.
This was the shot she liked the best.

I like this the way it is. Like the use of blank space beside her. I think that enlarged and printed her eyes will show their true colour, as you have captured them.

it has a 'SNL" portrait quality to it. Her pupils are large so that indicates it was dark just before you shot. Might want to use a modeling lamp for such a shoot to get as much iris as possible. Great capture nonetheless!

couldn't disagree more...her face is on the verge of being overexposed - any more light would have been too much

thanks guys. I held an 800 bee at about 1/4 power just below the camera and shot this from about 5 feet away. I had to drop the exposure in acr to tone it down.

I usually use the modeling lamps...but i was handholding the light so I shut it off. I will try the lamp next time.
